Experience 

Akmal Saufi is the current managing partner of ASCO. Going into his sixth year as managing partner, he has delivered various approach to the legal firm's human capital development, financial strategy, smooth day to day operation, full IT data management transition, business development process and client engagement approach. The firm continues to grow strong under his leadership with existing practice area strengthen and new practice areas added to bring value to the firm's existing client base and future clienteles. The firm foot print under his stewardship expanded from Iskandar Malaysia Region in Johor to Lembah Klang with its office in Kuala Lumpur. 
 
In addition to management role, Akmal Saufi currently heads the corporate department. In this department Akmal handles various corporate commercial transactions namely merger and acquisition, legal compliance consultancy, consumer commercial transactions and corporate governance consultancy. 
 
Under his belt, he has advised and represented multinational companies, government linked companies, state owned enterprise, early and midstage startup investments as well as several multinational business negotiations.  
 

 
Career 

Akmal completed his pupillage at Khairul A. & Co in Kuala Lumpur and was retained as an associate in the firm after being admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2013. He then joined Zaid Ibrahim & Co (ZICOlaw) where he gained vast exposure on corporate and commercial dealings, locally and abroad. In 2014, Akmal Saufi founded ASCO.  

Akmal is the current Managing Partner of ASCO.
