Experience

Nur Khalis joined ASCO Law as an associate. Khalis handles various matters relating to banking and conveyancing transactions namely advising and drafting of the sale and purchase agreement for housing development projects and sub-sales between individual and companies, transfer of ownership, perfection of transfers, application for consent to transfers, tenancies and leases. 


Khalis also handles property financing facility security documentation namely banking conventional loans, Islamic financing facilities, re-financing, discharge of charges, perfection of charges, state and federal government financing facilities in respect of housing project development including individual transactions.


In ASCO, Khalis has progressively gained exposures in corporate commercial matters. Khalis currently assists and handles matters relating to corporate commercial matters including ventures, construction law, retail, shareholding, partnerships. She also assists and handles matters relating to corporate real estate matters namely building managements, development projects, leases, right of use agreement for land held under temporary occupation licence and strata managements.

Career

Nur Khalis completed her pupillage at Shahinuddin & Ranjit in Johor Bahru where she gained vast exposure on real estate matters. She was then admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2014 and joined Ishak Sharif & Co as a legal assistant. Khalis later joined ASCO in 2015 as an Associate seated in the real estate practice group, later promoted to Senior Associate in 2017 seated in the corporate commercial practice group and was made a partner in the year 2019.


Nur Khalis is currently a partner of ASCO and sits in the corporate commercial practice group at Kuala Lumpur office.
